Registering before the meeting will help to alleviate the time and effort it takes to login, ensuring a smoother process.

You will need to know your Tribal Identification Number (Enrollment Number) and the last four digits of your Social Security Number in order to cast a ballot utilizing the Simply Voting election software. If you do not know your Tribal Identification Number please contact Kathi Mathys, Enrollment Clerk, at kathi.mathys@fbicc.com, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2024.

Meeting Process

You will be required to join the zoom meeting or in-person meeting no later than 9:59 am pacific standard time.

For virtual attendees, please enter the following Meeting ID in the zoom app: 875 0778 9545 and register with your full legal name that is on file with the Enrollment Department.

You may have more than one Tribal member per device, but please note that each member will be required to show themselves on video to prove that they are actually present.

Please be advised that once you are admitted to the meeting you will not be able to speak and no one will be able to hear you unless the Tribal Council calls on you during the meeting.

At exactly 10:00 a.m. pacific standard time, the Tribal Council will start the zoom meeting and in-person meeting at which time they will confirm whether or not a quorum has been established in order to continue on with the nomination process.

If quorum is not met, Tribal Council will give the membership a thirty (30) minute grace period in case of any connectivity or access issues. If quorum has not been met after the grace period, Tribal Council may decide to do any of the following:

Extend the waiting period
Reschedule the meeting in an effort to meet quorum
End the meeting and enter into a discussion session

Nomination Process

If quorum has been met, the Tribal Council will begin to take nominations for Tribal Council followed by Enrollment Committee, Health Board, and Housing Board.

In order to nominate an eligible candidate you will need to raise your hand utilizing the zoom menu or enter your nomination in the chat box. In-person nominations will be taken by the Council member supervising the meeting.

Once all nominations have been received, the Chairman will then ask the nominee whether or not they accept or decline the nomination and will allow the nominee to speak.

Once nominations for Tribal Council have been closed, the Elections process will begin.

Election Process

Upon completion of the nominations the Enrollment Officer will finalize the electronic and in-person ballots and announce the start of the voting process.

Virtual attendees will be given a link to the ballot in the chat section of the zoom meeting. Each eligible voting member will need to click on the ballot link in the chat to access the voting site. Once at the voting site you will need to submit your Elector ID and password. Your Elector ID will be your Tribal Identification Number (Enrollment Number) and your password is the last four digits of your Social Security Number (example: Elector ID 518-000 Password 1234). This process will need to be repeated for each tribal member who may be attending in a group on Zoom.

In-person attendees will also submit their ballots using the SimplyVoting link. Laptop/computers will be available, but personal devices may also be used. The Council member supervising the meeting will assist members, if needed.

Once the voting process has been started you will have thirty (30) minutes to complete and submit your ballot.

At the conclusion of the thirty (30) minutes the Enrollment Officer will initiate the election results and the results will be shared immediately.

Newly Elected Council, Board, and Committee Members

Newly elected officials will be announced and given time to coordinate contact information to set a meeting time for their first official meeting.

The newly elected Tribal Council Members will be made panelists and will elect officers in executive session. Once officers have been elected the newly elected Tribal Council Members will be sworn into office. At the conclusion of the oath the meeting will end.
